August- “Dog Days” of Summer

It has been hot and dry, so, we will welcome any rain we can get. According to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, the term “Dog Days” traditionally refers to a particularly hot and humid period occurring during the summer months of July and August in the Northern Hemisphere.
At Country Visions Cooperative Country Stores, we are celebrating another “Dog Day”. National Dog Day is August 26, 2023. We are encouraging all our customers to guess how many dog treats are in a jar from August 1-26. Correct guesses (or the closest without going over,) will win a jar of dog treats, a $20 Country Visions Country Store gift certificate, AND, a jar of dog treats to be donated to an animal shelter of their choice. In case of a tie, a drawing will determine a winner from the correct guesses. One winner will be selected from each of our Country Stores located in Brillion, Valders, Sheboygan Falls, De Pere, New London, and Mishicot.
County Fairs will be in full swing this month. The show feeds are on sale! Purina Honor Show feeds in 50lb bags are $1 off per bag. Also, Purina High Octane Supplements are $2 off. The supplements come in 25 lb and 50 lb bags or 20 lb and 30 lb pails. For the chicken raisers, we have a stock-up sale! Purina Layena+ Hi Pro Pellets in a 40# bag is $4 off for the month of August.
