Zentner Acres, INC.
Roger Zentner grew up involved with agriculture. He was born and raised on the family farm. Even when he worked away from it, he still came home to help on the farm. That upbringing set him in the direction to take over the family operation. Zentner Acres, Inc is a cash grain operation in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Four generations of this farm family have been involved with the operation that is now in the hands of Roger and his wife, Joan.
Roger has 3 daughters, two sons-in-law and 4 grandkids. “When I need help, they are all there to help,” he said. “All of the grandkids love to come and help on the farm. Especially if that “help” includes a ride in the tractor or a chance to ride around in the UTV.” Roger did admit that driving the equipment on the farm is his favorite part of his job, so sharing that experience with the grandkids is a lot of fun for him. All of the fun isn’t just on the farm for this family, they go camping as much as they can during the summer and Roger is a toy tractor collector, but I guess that one does connect back to farming.
Proud to be a part of the farming community, Roger is encouraged by what they do for feeding all the people around the world. Farmers are using different procedures as advances in technology provide more education about our resources. At Zentner Acres, they have adapted conventional - minimal till into their crop growing operations. Roger also extends his commitment to the community by being on the Winnebago County Land & Water Conservation Committee, Chairman of FSA, and a member of the Nekimi Volunteer Fire Department.
