Kyle Serwe

Kyle Serwe is the owner of KMS Dairy in Campbellsport, WI. His step-grandpa Bill Guell, and Bill’s brother, Bob, work along with Kyle on this 3rd generation dairy farm. KMS Dairy is a unique operation that has the cattle graze 3 seasons of the year. Kyle acknowledged that watching the cows graze is one of his favorite things to do, so the extended time gives him many opportunities. They also have a compost barn.

Kyle started hanging around the farm when he was in kindergarten, helping where he could and playing when he had the chance. An old wooden barn, trucks, tractors, a digger, animals, maybe some spoons or dishes from the kitchen and a big pile of sand… that was where the plans for his future started for him. "Farming has always been like getting to play in a giant sandbox,” Kyle said. He is proud that he set a goal as a kid and was able to accomplish that goal and become a farmer. When your business is producing products that consumers like and need, you feel a sense of satisfaction. Dairy farming definitely fits that description for Kyle.

When Kyle isn’t doing farm work, he enjoys hunting and fishing. These interests have led to involvement with the Toms and Tails Hunt Club in his community.

We wish the best to Kyle and thank him for participating as our Farmer Friday this week. May you have continued success at KMS Dairy.

Farmer Friday...post #26. To show our appreciation to our producer members, Country Visions Cooperative will be giving a snapshot look of our customers and their operations in this feature each Friday.
