Farmer Friday > Mark Litz

Mark Litz

Jul 21, 2017

Mark Litz is a part of Litz Farms LLC in Kiel, WI. This is the community where Mark was raised. Growing up in a farming family it was just a natural transition for him to choose agriculture for his career. “It’s in my blood,” Mark said. “I don’t really know what else I would want to do.”

Litz Farms is a Dairy and Cash Crop operation currently in its 3rd generation with the addition of a 4th in progress. Mark enjoys the variation in the day-to-day operations of this farm. They do not hire outside workers to do spraying and other specialty jobs. They do all their own work, which Mark feels is somewhat unique in the farming industry these days. This makes their pride in farming go a little bit deeper, knowing the products they produce are providing meals for other people.

Outside of his responsibilities on the farm, Mark is on the Town of Eden Zoning Board. During the winter season, he likes getting outside to go snowmobiling.
We wish the best to Mark and thank him for participating as our Farmer Friday this week. May you have continued success at Litz Farms and continue to grow with the addition of each generation.

Farmer Friday...post #29. To show our appreciation to our producer members, Country Visions Cooperative will be giving a snapshot look of our customers and their operations in this feature each Friday.
