Dave Roskopf is from Iron Ridge, WI in Dodge County. This is where he and his wife, Monica, have their farming operation, Roskopf Farms, LLC. This 2nd generation dairy was started by his dad who had moved here from Menomonee Falls, WI.
Dave has known, since he was 10 years old, that he wanted to go into farming. He loved helping his dad. He remembers thinking that he would ratherbe at the farm then sitting in the classroom and says his son is the same way. “Farming is a good way to raise a family with a strong work ethic,” said Dave. That has definitely held true for this operation. “Everyone that has worked on the farm has been family related, except for about 2 people,” he said.
Work and vacations both involve Agriculture, so of course his hobbies do too. Dave enjoys going to tractor pulls and tractor shows. Also, every year in November, it’s a trip to the Iowa Farm Toy Show.
In support of their community, the Roskopf’s volunteer their help for a week each year at the Iron Ridge Firemen’s picnic. Dave also serves on the Dodge County Dairy Testing Board of Directors.
Dave and Roskopf Farms, LLC currently hold the designation as Country Visions furthest agronomy customer to the south. We appreciate their business and their trust in our company to provide them the products and services they need for the success of their operation. Thank you for your participation in this Farmer Friday!
Farmer Friday...post #14. To show our appreciation to our producer members, Country Visions Cooperative will be giving a snapshot look of our customers and their operations in this feature each Friday.
