Dan Lisowe tries to do at least one good deed a day...

Dan owns and operates East Shore Dairy LLC in Chilton, WI. This is a 3rd generation grain farm located in Calumet County.
“Farming is all I ever knew,” Dan said. “My Dad was a farmer and I have been milking cows since I was 12. I just liked it a lot.” Dan is proud his farming operation has been able to succeed in today’s economy. “You never know what the pay check is going to be each year. I am proud to have made it when so many had not been able to make ends meet,” he said.

Being self-employed is Dan’s favorite part of farming. He enjoys being his own boss and knowing everything that is going on. He farms mainly by himself, but occasionally some of his brothers will help.

Hunting, fishing and traveling keep Dan busy when the farm work is done. He looks forward to hosting deer camp every hunting season and is involved in a fishing club.

Thank you to Dan for participating as our Farmer Friday post this week. Continue your success!

Farmer #17. To show our appreciation to our producer members, Country Visions Cooperative will be giving a snapshot look of our customers and their operations in this feature each Friday.
