Kiel Grain Dryer Fire

Nov 03, 2021

A fire occurred at our Grain Facility in Kiel on Tuesday afternoon. No one was injured and the fire was confined to the grain dryer itself. It appears that only a limited amount of grain was affected. The extent of the damages to the equipment is still being assessed.

We appreciate the quick action by the City of Kiel Fire Department to call in needed resources to fight the fire. THANK YOU to the Kiel Fire Department and Ambulance Service and all of the emergency crews who assisted on scene including: Ada Fire, Chilton Fire, Cleveland Fire, Collins Fire, Elkhart Lake Fire, Kiel Police Department, Kiel Street Department, Kiel Utilities, Elkhart Lake Fire, Manitowoc County Joint Dispatch Center, New Holstein Fire, New Holstein First Responders, St. Anna Fire, and St Nazianz Fire.

Members are being directed to use one of our other grain locations if drying is needed, as dryer services at this location have been suspended temporarily.
