The annual meeting for Country Visions Cooperative was
held on February 9th. The meeting went
quite well even though the weather was less than ideal. We had about 140 people attend. The business meeting and reports were
presented with very few questions.
Senator Joe Liebham addressed our meeting and talked to everyone
about issues in Madison that will affect us.
Following his remarks he took a lot of questions and comments from
members. Many of the questions
centered around health care and land use concerns. The Board of Director election results
were announced at the meeting. The
vote resulted in a win for Randel Bubolz in the North District over Elmer
Dvorachek. Susan Kracht will keep
her Board position for the South District defeating Richard Salm and
Randall Bonde will assume a Board position in the At-Large District after
defeating Joseph Koenig. Thank you
Elmer and Joe for your dedication and service as Directors.
Patronage
refund checks have been issued and some have been picked up or
distributed. The remaining checks
will be mailed out soon. Fewer
checks have been issued as a result of much lower profitability this year
than in any recent years. We expect
improvement this year to get back to paying higher patronage rates to more
customers.
Please
note that the website for Country Visions Cooperative is
www.countryvisionscoop.com and that the email adresses will use @countryvisionscoop.com
as the extension. The former
cooperative names will not work.
In
order to serve you better and to stay up-to-date on the newest regulations,
new register systems will be installed at three of our convenience store
locations. Our staff is currently training on the new system and data is
being entered. We appreciate your
patience during the transition and promise to complete the switch as
quickly as possible. Please be aware
that the pumps will not be available during the day of the actual
switch. We apologize for the
inconvenience, but feel that once everything is up and running, our
customers will appreciate this great change. The convenience stores will remain open
on these days. The stores in Branch,
Mishicot and Reedsville will receive this new equipment. Please watch for notifications at these
locations to indicate their switchover day, so you can plan around it.
Thank
you for being a customer of Country Visions Cooperative.
